Yemi Sonde, professionally known as Jìgan Àkàlà, is a Nigerian broadcaster, film producer, poet, politician, public speaker, public relation consultant, M.C and a Media tutor. He responsible for producing Kogbodo Kanle, Sikiratu Sidodo, and much more.

Jìgan Àkàlà is a Radiopreneur and a seasoned On Air Personality/Talent which knows his onion in the Media Industry in South West Nigeria. Having founded, Yemi Sonde Media
Academy and YESMA Radio (Internet-based), both media outfits have been a recipient of many recognized award in Nigeria.



Early Life
Yemi Sonde hails from Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. He was on January, 22 1970, in Mushin Lagos State, Nigeria into a Christian family.
His father was a pastor. Yemi Sonde is the third born and first son of 13 children of his parents.
He is happily married to Mrs Omolade Sonde, their marriage is blessed with children.
Education
He studied forestry resources management  for his first degree, and holds master in project management and implementation at University of Ibadan. He also bagged is post graduate degree in Entrepreneurship and professional basic certificate in production from Radio Nigeria Training School (National Broadcasting Academy).

Career
Yemi Sonde started his broadcasting career in 1987 at Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC) while he was still in School. He was trained under the tutelage of an Ace broadcaster, late Toba Tajudeen Opaleye. He had his first programme aired on OGBC but later host many radio show on different radio stations in Nigeria; Kómaa lobéè on Paramount FM Abeokuta (Monday, 1pm-2pm), Mìlíkì Express On Olúyòlé FM (Monday, 8pm-9pm), Maaduro on Amuludun FM (Tuesday, 
9.30am-11am), Oo Ko Jabe on Positive FM Akure (Thursday, 11am-12noon).
Currently, he is the anchor of Koo Ma Flow on Fàájì FM Lagos aired Every Friday between the hours of 2pm to 4pm and he is the Radio Host of YSLIVE (Yemi Sonde Live), a bilingual participatory Programme which features variety of topical issue ranging from politics, health, entertainment, economic, culture, tourism and many others. 
#YSLIVE initially aired on  Inspiration FM Ibadan before moving it to Splash FM Ibadan in 2017.

Mr. Yemi Sonde is the Convener of NBC/Yemi Sonde Broadcast Media Stakeholders Forum. The Forum has organized a biennial seminar
for  all Stakeholders in Media Industry in Nigeria since 2007.
Yemi Sonde is General Manager Director of Yemi Sonde Media Group which comprises Yemi Sonde Entertainment LTD, Yemi Sonde Media Academy and YESMA Radio.
